can i bring in outside alcohol?
No, we cannot allow outside alcohol to be brought into private events but can work with you to curate a unique beverage menu and cocktail offerings for your guests.
can i bring in a cake?
Yes, guests are welcome to bring cakes or special desserts. Depending on the type of cake, there may be an additional cake cutting fee. We recommend reaching out to Albemarle Baking Co. or Cake Bloom, both located in the West Main neighborhood.
what about music?
Guests are welcome to create a public playlist on a streaming service or connect your own device via Bluetooth into our system. Live music and DJs may also be considered on a case by case basis.
can we decorate the space?
You are welcome to bring in decorations and table linens but please let your event coordinator know in advance. No confetti or glitter are allowed. All decorations are host’s responsibility to set up and breakdown, and we require that they are all removed at the close of your event.
are candles allowed?
We provide digital candles, but don’t allow real candles. All lighting in our private event spaces is dimmable.
what’s included in the event?
We provide all dishes, flatware, glassware, linens, tables, chairs, servers/bartenders for events. No additional rentals are required. Our private event spaces are available for 3-4 hours, depending on the nature of the event.
Are private event spaces wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately our upstairs space is not due to single access via an outdoor staircase, but our downstairs space is wheelchair accessible.
Does upstairs event space have private restrooms?
Yes! The upstairs event space has two private restrooms.
Do you have sample menus?
Yes! While the core of our menu remains the same year round, featuring the ‘Oakhart hits,’ we offer some seasonal specialties. Those are only available about a month prior to your event. Our core menu is available here.
What if we don’t need private dining?
If you have a group larger than 7 (our limit on Resy), we are happy to chat options. Depending on the date, we may be able to offer seating in the restaurant for up to 16 guests, with a pre-set limited menu selected from our current dining room menu.
